Capital, capability and governance in one mandate.
Africa holds a decisive share of the minerals on which electrification, energy storage, steelmaking and emissions control depend. What has consistently been missing is patient, technically informed capital able to take defined resources into production and to move the resulting material reliably to market.
Southcity was formed to close that gap. We manage two complementary alternative investment funds: the Southcity Critical Minerals Fund, which provides development, expansion and conversion capital to junior miners, resource developers and beneficiation businesses across the SADC region; and the Southcity Structured Commodity Fund, which provides structured trade, pre-shipment and export finance to producers, aggregators, exporters and traders in energy, petrochemicals and critical minerals.
We invest as operators rather than as passive allocators. Portfolio businesses receive support across mining discipline, processing and metallurgy, offtake and marketing, logistics and export corridors, financial and treasury control, and ESG, permitting and compliance.
